This may have already been posted but for those who will be in Japan in
September, NANI GA KANOJO O SO SASETA KA (WHAT MADE HER DO IT) will be
playing on September 12 at 3:00pm in Nitta, Gunma Prefecture as part of
the Second Tanaka Junichiro Memorial Japan Film History Festival. This
year's theme is the silent film period. Highlights of the festival
include several performances by the benshi Sawato Midori with live
musical accompaniment and a lecture by early Japanese film scholar
Komatsu Hiroshi. An exhibition of Tanaka's collection and a discussion
about Tanaka by Sato Tadao and others are also planned.

The Festival will take place Sept 11- Sept 19, 1999.
