"Pillow Book" censored?

That irritating mosaic pattern appeared thoughout _Pillow Book_ in its
theatrical release in Japan.  I recall that according to Vincent
Monnikendam, the filmmaker whose _Mother Dao the Turtlelike_ was the
subject of censorial ire in Yamagata, the film had not been questioned in
its 49 previous festival appearances.  Does anyone know if there was a
follow-up with customs?
