Kurosawa manuscript copyright

I have a question regarding the copyright of Kurosawa Akira's manuscript
for Rashoomon as it is printed in Iwanami Shoten's Zenshuu Kurosawa Akira
dai san maki.
At the moment I am a teaching fellow at the University of Copenhagen,
Denmark, and I have talked one of my classes of third year students into
trying to make a proper translation of the manuscript into Danish. If
things work well the Department of Asian Studies here has a serie of
publications of translations in which our work may be included. This is
only meant as a pedagogical means of encouragement and to make the students
aware of what it takes to translate with an audience in mind. We are also
going to have a professional sub-title texter to come and comment on the
result.
My question is - whom should I ask for copyright permission to publish the
translation? The serie is absolutly non-profit and the institute has no
funds for copyrightfees. Does anyone else on this list have experiences
with similar projects?
	Best regards
	Christian M Hermansen
