Hi

I have been watching the list for some time and I felt it was time that I at
least contributed something.  I like a lot of people got into Japanese
cinema through Kurosawa, Ozu and Mizoguchi, and I am so glad that there is a
forum for people who appreciate all the various aspects of Japanese film and
culture.  I have also enjoyed the varying subjects that have been covered,
and I would like to ask a couple of questions.

1.  The UK is very poor at distributing Japanese movies on video - you can
only buy a few Kurosawa (but not Red Beard), and some Ozu and some Kitano.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

2.  Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the Kurosawa CD-Rom, or if
anyone is willing to sell me a copy, would they let me know?

3.  I was wondering if Donald Richie is planning to update his Kurosawa
book - does anyone know what he is up to at the moment.

Thanks for all the wonderful discussions.  I have certainly learnt a lot
over the past few weeks.
