9th Japanese Film Professional Award

The 9th Japanese Film Professional Award, given by critics and 
professionals in the industry in order to support lesser known 
independent films, were announced recently.  A special award show and 
all-night screening will take place at Theater Shinjuku on April 8.

The awards are as follows:

Best Film: Doko made mo iko
Best Director: Nakae Yuji (Nabi no koi)
Best Actress: Yoshimoto Takami (Minazuki)
Best Actor: Nishijima Hidetoshi (Nengen gokaku)
New Face: Tsugumi (Gekko no sasayaki)
New Director: Shiota Akihiko
Special Award: Takeuchi Riki (DOA, BLOOD, etc.)

1. Doko made mo iko (dir. Shiota Akihiko)
2. Nabi no koi (dir. Nakae Yuji)                        
3. Dead or Alive Hanzaisha (Miike Takashi)
4. Ningen gokaku (Kurosawa Kiyoshi)
5. Gekko no sasayaki (Shiota Akihiko)
6. Nihon kuroshakai Ley Lines (Miike Takashi)
7. OL no aijiru Love Juice (Tajiri Yuji)
8. M/Other (Suwa Nobuhiro)
9. Samehada otoko to momojiri musume (Ishii Katsuhito)
10. Adrenaline Drive (Yaguchi Shinobu)
