Oshima on VCD

Japanese cinema is playing very regularly in Hong Kong on one of the film 
channels, MOVIE 2.  Oshima films were playing over Christmas including NIGHT 
AND FOG IN JAPAN.  But they only had Chinese subtitles.  So perhaps that 
means they won't be coming out on VCD if they've already had a TV broadcast 
.... but that's not necessarily the case.  Kore-eda's AFTER LIFE, which has 
just finished its run at a theatre in Hong Kong, was first screened on (I 
think) pay-per-view last summer.  Shu Kei picked it up for theatrical 
distribution because he's so passionate about the film.  So I guess that 
means at least a subtitled VCD of AFTER LIFE is on the way...
