Sony picks up Kitano's Brother

I was looking at the Screen Daily piece on Sony's deal on Kitano's BROTHER 
and Adam Minns states that it will premiere at either Venice or Toronto.  
I'd previously had the impression that it would premiere at Cannes but can't 
recall where I got that information.  Of course, if Mark Schilling had 
written the piece in Screen Daily I'd trust it more.  Does anybody know 
either way?
