>Thomas Weisser's 'Essential Guide to Japanese Cinema' and its related

Weisser's Hong Kong book is riddled with factual errors so I've always been a bit wary of his Japan ones as well. A good overview of Japanese horror/exploitation is in Pete Tombs' "Mondo Macabro" which goes from the 60s up to the late 90s.
