If anything, I was reminded of another film that was about dehumanized sex:
Pasolini's SALO. It was unquestionably a well-made film and one of
"quality", but it was horrific and depressing. Precisely the idea, of
course. And not something I ever saw myself wanting to see again.
I respect the idea behind such things without wanting to put myself in their
line of fire. And once again, I think that was sort of the idea. If
someone got turned on by what was going on, then the point of the film was
lost on them.
