For the last ten years I have worked for the International Film Festival Rotterdam, subtitling Japanese films (English and Dutch), translating Japanese contributions to the annual catalogue, and interpreting for Japanese directors and other festival guests.

My most recent job before coming back to Japan was as assisstant to the editor of Kees Hin`s latest documentary `Old Pain`. a film dealing with the painful remaining memories of the war experience among Dutch and Japanese people.
