My name is Marco Ciavirella, and I am a 24 old student of Japanese language
and letterature at the University of Venice, Italy. It's only a few months
that I decided to graduate myself on Japanese cinema, particularly on the
art of Terayama Shouji, but actually cinema it's been one of my main
interests since I was a boy, and studying this subject for my thesis even
considering it a possible working field for the future stands for me as the
realization of a long time dream, concerning both cinema and Japan.
At the moment I'm studying to give a semiothic lecture of Terayama shorts
with the precious and friendly guide of Dr. R. Novielli, one of the most
specialized scholar of the matter in Italy and supervising professor of my
degree thesis.
I will be grateful to anyone who can give me any news of publications,
conferences or film festivals related with the work of Terayama Shouji, and
I'm sure to find in your group rich and enjoyful fields of discussion.
Thank you
marco ciavirella
