I also think that "Tenkuu no Shiro Laputa"  (Laputa, Castle in the Sky), by 
Miyazaki / Studio Ghibli, is an amazing movie.

I know that Mononoke Hime was released in English, with new dubbing, but I 
don't know if either version made it to Asia or not.

Another one you might consider is "Hadashi no Gen" (Barefoot Gen).  I have 
seen an English version of this (not sure if it was dubbed or subbed, 
though).  But the subject matter (A-bomb & Hiroshima) might not be 
appropriate, depending on the audince.  I know American audiences didn't 
take too well to Kurosawa's "August Rhapsody".
