Tetsuji Takechi's DAYDREAM

In 1964 Tetsuji Takechi released his first version of this film about the
sexual fantasies of a couple in a dentist's waiting room, which went onto to
become a milestone film in initiating the pinku film into the mainstream. It
also seems to be the only film he ever made - 3 times! (Not counting Kuroi
Yuki/Black Snow in 1965)
I just got hold of a copy of his first re-make (in 1981), which seemed to
have a fairly generous budget, and was therefore stunned when about 20
minutes into it, it descended into complete hardcore footage. Call me na?ve,
but I thought that this sort of thing wasn't allowed in Japan due to the
strict censorship their, which leads me to a number of conclusions :
a) I am wrong.
b) This film was made purely for the export market
c) This film was made for the Japanese market and the explicit scenes
(of which there are many) were digitally fogged
d) This film slipped through onto the Japanese market without Eirin
even noticing.
I would be grateful if anyone could give me any pointers on this subject, or
any more information regarding this director.
Thanks
