Just when sent the email away, I found the search engine. Sorry.

Betreff: AW: Montreal: Direct link to KUROKI Kazuo's "Pickpocket"

http://www.ffm-montreal.org/fr/prog/prog.phtml?func=detail&par=1387&lang=en

I tried to check out the film description and it took me some 15 minutes. It
seems that there isn't a search engine to find films easily.
The above link goes directly to PICKPOCKET.
Best regards
Roger

Seen it last weekend at the Montreal WFF,
and liked it a lot. It is fairly strong and very effective.
It is the portrait of a professional team of pickpockets
and the people around: policemen, thugs, women.
I liked the fact that it was as if the profession
was like any other profession, even maybe like a
traditional Japanese craft, especially in view of
the Japanese authorities constant downplaying
of this growing social phenomenon.
I am not sure the director intended any such second-degree
reading, but it works very well and is very enjoyeable.
