New Bungeiza

It was reported that the Bungeiza, the famous long-running repertory 
cinema in Ikebukuro that closed three years ago, will be "revived" as the 
Shin Bungeiza.  Even though the previous owner has recently been arrested 
on tax-evasion charges, the new one (the husband of the granddaughter of 
the founder of the Bungeiza) has built a five-story building with the 
third/fourth floor featuring a new 233 seat theater.  The theater will 
open December 12 with Seven Samurai, then do a series of the top 3 
Japanese films each year of the postwar Kinema Junpo Best Ten.
