Super8 1980-present

Does anyone know a great deal about the super8 scene in Japan from some 
point in the 80s until now?  I've been discussing with some others the 
prospect of publishing a collection of essays on the contemporary 
indie/underground scene in Japan, and I'd really be interested in something 
on the Super8 movement.  Unfortunately, I don't know nearly enough...
