My book on the subject, something like a general history, will be out from
U of Minnesota Press in fall 2002. If you can't wait, you could go to the
dissertation it came out of, but it'd be better to see the revision.

Also, you can pick up bits and pieces in the catalogs of the Yamagata Film
Festival, which you can order from them via their website.
