Good News for Ozu fans (with NTSC VCRs)

is a great notice. Besides, I support your hope: I wish this presages a DVD

New Yorker Films is re-releasing its whole Ozu video catalog (including _I
Was
Born But_), effective March 2001.  Facets Multimedia seems to have jumped
the
gun by re-pricing its existing stock effective immediately.  The New Yorker
Films website doesn't provide any news, so I don't know whether the new
video
releases will be different in any fashion from the older ones.  One would
also like to hope that this presages a DVD program, but ...
