On the subject of Rotterdam...

As Aaron mentioned, Ken-chan's Hotaru seems to be butting heads with
Kawase's. The former was supposed to be Toei's big film for New Year's but
Takakura wasn't happy with the script, so the start of shooting, which was
originally scheduled for last summer, was pushed back.

This was also the scenario for the smash hit Poppoya -- there was about ten
months of back and forth before Ken-chan would OK the script -- so Toei
couldn't complain all that loudly.

I wonder, though, whether the Toei people who developed this film were even
aware of Kawase's -- or rather that she planned to use the same-sounding
title. It might well have been beneath their radar.
