Going back to the recent discussion on Japanese filmmakers and producers,
and their exploits on the international film festival circuit, I stumbled
across a review of the new Playstation 2 game Seven Blades, which has
apparently been made with the input of director Hayashi Kaizo (The Most
Terrible Time in My Life, Zipangu etc.). Being a fan of his Maiku Hama
series, I wondered what he'd been up to lately, having not heard much from
him on the film front in the last few years. I subsequently discovered
that he is currently resident in Los Angeles and is preparing for an
English-language project that begins shooting next summer. Anyone know any
more?

And for Seven Blades (with a profile of Hayashi, in Japanese):

I'm champing at the bit to see Kairo this weekend. Has anyone seen it yet?
