Pearl Harbour and Japanese war films

The three main characters in Makoto Shinozaki's most recent film Not 
Forgotten (Wasurerarenu Hitobito, 2000) are WW2 veterans. Akira Kurosawa 
dealt with the subject in an episode of Dreams (1990) and in Rhapsody in 
August (1991), while Masahiro Shinoda's 1984 film Setouchi Shonen Yakyudan 
deals with the direct aftermath of the war.
