Dear Kinejapanners,

The new edition of Midnight Eye features a special focus on Eiga Bigakko, or 
the Film School of Tokyo. The relatively small private film school 
co-founded by distributors/exhibitors Euro Space, which nonetheless has some 
of the foremost names in contemporary Japanese cinema among its faculty of 
teachers: Kiyoshi Kurosawa, Shinji Aoyama, Hirokazu Kore-eda, Nobuhiro Suwa, 
Makoto Shinozaki, et al.

For this feature we spoke to school president Masamichi Matsumoto and 
producer Hiroko Matsuda (Okaeri, Barren Illusion).
