Hello
First of all, I apologize for addressing this philosophy salon with such
specific regard, but I'm rather desperate about this matter.
I'm programming the Rio de Janeiro Int'l Short Film Festival, that will
happen in December. In our festival we have a special program called
"Great
Diretors in Small Doses", where we screen short films made by renowned
filmmakers. On the past 4 years we have shown films from such directors as
Pasolini, Scola, Scorsese, Godard, Truffaut, Burton, Campion, among
others.
This year we are focusing on Asian directors, and wanted to know if anyone
could help us by suggesting short films in this context and/or any
possible
print source. I have already managed to arrange films from Hou Hsiao-Hsien
and Tsai Ming Liang, and would appreciate a lot to be able to show shorts
from 2 or 3 Japanese masters such as Ozu, Mizoguchi, Kurosawa, Imamura or
Oshima, or by any other renowned Asian filmmaker.
Thank you very much on any eventual help.
Best regards,
Eduardo Cerveira
