Movie trivia time

I'm in the middle of watching "Taiyo wo nusunda otoko", There's a scene 
where Sawada Kenji's watching the TV news, when a mugshot of a suspect in 
the theft of the plutonium flashes on screen.  Looked suspiciously like 
Kurosawa Kiyoshi to me.  The Japanese movie database says he was involved 
in its production in some capacity, but doesn't list any appearance.  Can 
any one confirm or deny this one?
