For those interested, the Japanese Film Festival
(showing a grand total of 3 films) is on this week in
Singapore, while the Singapore Film Festival starts
next month

The trilogy opens with the much-anticipated haunting
story 'DARK WATER' (Hono Gurai Mizu No Soko Kara)
directed by Hideo Nakata, well-known for making the
popular Japanese horror blockbuster 'THE RING',
follows a young woman's battle for her daughter's
custody, which descends into a supernatural maelstrom.
'WATERBOYS', a film festival favourite, created by the
producers of the internationally acclaimed 'SHALL WE
DANCE'. Waterboys is a wacky drama about a group of
male synchronize swimming team, braving through all
sorts of obstacles in order to make it to the
competition with a unique routine.
Not forgetting the devotees of Japanese Manga,
'KOCHIKAME', an action comedy animation, originated
from a popular long-running TV series, has now been
made into a full-length animated feature film. This
story revolves round how the police solves a crime
committed by a bomb terrorist.
