Thanks! I saw this via an ex-rental HK laserdisc, which presents a widescreen if
less-than-pristine HK release print with Chinese & English subs. I presume there
would also have been a VCD release at the time - apparently the film was quite
popular in HK - should anyone be interested in seeing it, as I  imagine a
subtitled Japanese DVD is a fairly remote possibility. I don't know what others on
the list who've seen it think, but I'd certainly recommend checking it out.
