The U.S. version is the only one with a proper release in the U.S. now, but
I believe Dreamworks said they plan to release the original as well (video,
I assume).
I was expecting a lot of changes in the new version, and there are some, but
as I mentioned before I was surprised at how similar it was.  I've been
trying
to rent an import DVD of the original version from a local store to
double-check since I haven't seen it in a while, but the 10 or so copies
there have all been checked out for weeks...

It looks like the English language Japanese papers have started posting
their reviews of the film.
