Dreamworks' Ring

Hi.

First time I've mailed to the list after lurking for a
while, so I almost feel like I'm butting in. But
anyway, I'm on the fence about the remake. Seems like
bad news, but one thing that gave me a little bit of
hope was an interview with the director (Verbanski) on
the Ringworld website:

Here's his last comment:

"To me Ring is about the lack of conclusion. This is
something that a western audience is going to have a
difficult time swallowing. But it's what I like about
it."

So who knows. Could go either way.
