Thanks for the advice.
The whole Visa situation is rather annoying... I will be going to Japan
soon and will probably be spending money in that range... I guess I'll get
traveller's checks. Japan isn't the only place to do that either... I don't
know why people have to be so complicated about making money (I'm talking
about small purchases too, where they don't care about a credible
identity).
It's true about the region encoding... I guess the companies just fall
into that argument, apparently not wanting to make any extra money that they
can.
Sorry, it's just really frustrating sometimes, when all you want to do is
be a consumer, but certain places won't let you!
