Adachi & 9.11

Yesterday I met Adachi Masao at an event in Chuo
University, and asked him straightforwardly about the
kinejapan comments saying that he was enthralled with the
site of the airplanes hitting the WTC towers.
His response was to complain that there have been several
cases of putting words in his mouth. In addition to
comments similar to the ones mentioned here, which he
labels as untrue, French Canal 2 
“quoted” him condemning Palestinian suicide attacks,
something he never said. He asked for the French
documentary video, which seemingly bore the alleged quote
superimposed on the screen, to study it and comment on it
to the channel.
Adachi said that, at a talk show that was held in November
last year at Loft Plus (is the name correct?) in Shinjuku,
he mentioned that his first reaction when seeing the crash
was to shout 
“Yatta”, but he described that reaction as irrational
and based on his great opposition to the American
government and its world hegemony, and that it was
followed by a mental retreat and a complicated thought
process after realizing the scale of what had happened. He
added that his current view on the matter is that he
thinks the NY attacks were wrong, but regarding suicidal
bombings he strongly refuses to blame Palestinians alone
for violence and urges the need to understand why they are
doing this.
 
Sorry for the long message, I felt the obligation to
transmit what Adachi expressed, as he did make an effort
to answer my question and clarify his stance.
