Self-Introduction

Hi everybody.

This is my introduction as a new member of the kinejapan mailing list. My 
name is Jim Harper, I live in England, and I'm trying to make a living as a 
writer. My first book- a general work on slasher movies- is being published 
in May next year (fingers crossed), and although it has little to do with 
Japanese movies, I'm a recent convert to modern Japanese horror. I feel that 
Japan is leading the world in horror currently, and eagerly acquire anything 
new I can find. That's not easy, living in England, but I do my best.

Having said that, I am also eager to learn as much as I can about Japanese 
cinema as I can, not least so I can place the horror films I've seen in a 
cultural and cinematic context. I look forward to communicating with 
everyone here.
