KineJun Best Ten 2002

Gerry asked for reviews of the Kinejun Best Ten films. I have reviewed all
but "Gomen" for the Japan Times. Go to the start page of the JT Web site and
run a search using "Schilling" and one word from the title. Here's the URL:

I agree with Aaron that both the Kinejun and Mainichi Best Ten lists are
dully middle of the road. And I say that being square in the target
demographic for Amidado Dayori, KT and Tasogare Seibei.
The success of the last is not totally undeserved, but Yamada turns all of
his leading ladies into Tora-san madonnas and Miyazawa Rie is no exception.
Her romance with Sanada's poor-but-honest Seibei is wish fulfillment for
middle-aged salarymen. Not that there's anything wrong with that...
