zatoshi remake

papers reported that kitano takeshi's next film will be a remake of
ZATOICHI, the famous film(series) that propelled katsu shintaro to stardom.
it is kitano's first challenge in jidaigeki. kitano will also play the
leading role of the blind swordsman. shooting will start in march.
between 1962 and 1989 katsu shintaro fought as blind swordsman in 26 films
of the popular series.
