Hi,

NHK will start broadcasting a series titled ?Japanese
Masterpieces
? (nihon no meisaku) from next Monday. Each episode
features readings of a chosen literary work by an actor or
an actress, and every time a different filmmaker is in
charge. Directors are responsible for creating the visual
contents without making any changes to the text.

Dan Kazuo?s ?The House on Fire? (made into a film in
1986 by Fukasaku Kinji)
Director: Kawase Naomi / Performer: Ujiki Tsuyoshi
