Venice selection announced

The Venice Film Festival (August 27 - September 6) just announced its 
competition line-ups.

Takeshi Kitano's ZATOICHI has been selected for the official competition, 
while Kazuyoshi Kumakiri's ANTENNA is competing in the 'Controcorrente' 
(Upstream) section. Also in the Upstream program (in which Tsukamoto's A 
SNAKE OF JUNE won the Jury Prize last year) are Pen-ek Ratanaruang's 
Japanese co-production LAST LIFE IN THE UNIVERSE (starring Tadanobu Asano 
and featuring Riki Takeuchi and Takashi Miike) and Sofia Coppola's shot in 
Japan LOST IN TRANSLATION.
