von Sternberg's 'Morocco' in Japan?

Joanne,

My personal data at hand says Morocco was chosen as Kinema Junpo's Best 
Foreign Film in 1931.  So if you look into, there should be many references 
to the film in this year's cinema journals, including Kishi Matsuo's in 
Eiga Orai.  I don't know if it was shown in the occupation period though...
