interwar suburbs

I have a feeling this was mentioned in a thread recently having 
something to do with a shakeup of the New Yorker catalogue, but does 
anybody know where you can get a hold of a copy of Ozu's "I Was Born 
But.." for screening?  Any other recommendations for a film that gives 
a feel for the suburban/middle-class life emerging around the train 
lines in Tokyo in the interwar period?  i.e. vs. a "shitamachi"-type 
nostalgia for old Tokyo.
