"Conversation with Kiyoshi Kurosawa" at NYU

?Conversation with Kiyoshi Kurosawa?
Date/Time: April 12/9:00 am ? 5:30 pm
Location: Department of East Asian Studies Conference Room, New York
University, 715 Broadway 3rd Floor

Next Monday (April 12), as part of the East Asian Film Series organized by
NYU?s Department of East Asian Studies, we?ll have a seminar titled
?Conversation with Kiyoshi Kurosawa? from 9:00 to 5:30 in the EAS conference
room. Kiyoshi Kurosawa will be with us, and he has agreed to participate in
the seminar on his work and other related issues such as politics of
international film festivals, globalization of film culture, the questions
of film genres, the question Godard, etc.

Although it is primarily intended for NYU undergraduate students, the
seminar is also open to the public.

Besides Kurosawa, there are other speakers to facilitate the discussions.
They are: 

--Jonathan Hall (UC Irvine)
--Keisuke Kitano (Niigata U, Japan)
--Tom Looser (McGill)
--Anne McKnight (McGill)
--Ryoko Misono (U of Tokyo)
--Daisuke Miyao (Columbia)
--Mitsuyo Wada-Marciano (Carleton U)

There are two sessions in the morning from 9 to 12:30 with a screening of
video clips selected by Kurosawa (from films directed by other film
directors), and two more sessions in the afternoon from 2 to 5:30 with
another screening of video clips selected by the panelists.
