And the Japan Foundation will help you identify who has the rights, even
when you
are only showing a DVD.

For example, we wound up paying Cowboy Pictures a $250 licensing fee
for showing the dvd of DOUBLE SUICIDE, even though our screening was free at
Emory University.  You are obligated to pay that licensing fee even in a
"non-theatrical"
screening.  We couldn't find a 35mm print, but had to pay anyway.
