This year's edition of the Hong Kong International Film Festival will
feature a special retrospective on Shimizu Hiroshi, apparently on the
occasion of his 101st year of his birth. Not sure _what_ to make of
that...

28th Hong Kong International Film Festival
The Festival is one of Asia's most reputable platforms for filmmakers,
film
professionals and filmgoers from all over the world to launch new works
and
experience outstanding cinema. Having showcased 330 films from over 40
countries in the 27th HKIFF, the Festival promises to continue its
excellent programming in the upcoming 28th edition in 6 to 21 April
2004.

2. The Avant-Garde + Stan Brakhage (1933-2003)
