Jennifer Connelly to star in US remake of "Dark Water"

According to Sanspo this morning, Connelly will be taking on the role of 
the mother played by Kuroki Hitomi in the Nakata Hideo-directed original, 
while the rest of the cast includes Tim Roth, John C. Reilly and Pete 
Postlethwaite, and the director is said to be Walter Salles (?!). Filming 
begins in Toronto on January 19th, and the finished product is set for 
release in the US this Autumn, with Japan having to wait until next year.
