Shinoda Noboru

The news services reported that Shinoda Noboru, the cinematographer for 
many of Iwai Shunji's films, died of liver failure on the 22nd at the 
age of 52. Shinoda did some of his early work with Somai Shinji until 
he began teaming up with Iwai on Undo. He did many of Iwai's films 
after that, including Love Letter, Swallowtail, Lily Chouchou, and this 
year's Hana to Arisu. He also was cinematographer on the phenomenal hit 
Sekai no chushin de, ai o sakebu, currently the top Japanese film this 
year at the box office.
