Dear members,

After reading Yomota Inuhiko's Nihon Eigashi 100nen, Richie's A Hundred Years
of Japanese Film, and Matsuhiro Yoshimoto's Kurosawa, one of my students
(perfectly bilingual E + J) wants to conduct research on the censorship on
Japanese cinema during the American occupation period. Could you kindly give me some
advice on what he should read?

This topic must have been discussed before. Sorry for my inattention to the
past messages and thank you in advance for your kind advice.

Sincerely,

Shusuke Yagi
Professor of Japanese and Asian Studies
Furman University
