I wouldn't say "all but dead," but after seeing the long queues for "Nin X 
Nin: Ninja Hattori-kun" last weekend, perhaps "living dead" is a more 
accurate description...

Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence will be released in the U.S. on September 
17th by Dreamworks' Go Fish Pictures. This site has a list of cinemas where 
it'll be screening:

Several versions of the DVD will be released in Japan on the 15th of this 
month - naturally, all without English subtitles.
