Toyoda Toshiaki arrested

A quick bit of salacious gossip - director and screenwriter Toyoda 
Toshiaki, of "Blue Spring" and "Nine Souls" fame, was arrested yesterday on 
drug charges. Police searched his home and found 'stimulants' in his 
bedroom after receiving information that Toyoda was using drugs. This is 
really disappointing news about one of the best young directors in recent 
years, especially considering that his next film "Kuchu Teien" starring 
Koizumi Kyoko is scheduled for release in October, and distributors Asmik 
Ace are now considering pulling it.
