Films of Hani Susumu and Kawase Naomi query

Hello I am preparing a winter film series for the UW and am looking for some information. Does anyone know if the films of Hani Susumu are available on versions other than the New York Film Annex editions? The NYFA editions have white subtitles on a B&W film making them unreadable most of the time. In addition the sound quality is very bad as well which makes it impossible to fully catch the story. Are there plans to release Japanese DVDs of his films? From my initial inquiries only Afurika Monogatari seems available through Amazon.jp.

Also I am wondering if anyone knows where one could find subtitled versions of Kawase Naomi?s films. I tried to contact her production company directly but received no response though I hear that they have subtitled VHS copies. If anyone has contact information or knows where I could locate them I would be very grateful.

Thank you very much, Ken Shima
