KCC-Japan Education Exchange is seeking applications for the Bryant 
Drake Guest Professorship at Kobe College.  The next recipient will be 
hosted by the Intercultural Studies Department, which has requested a 
scholar of Japanese studies, with the discipline open but commitment to 
teaching the highest priority.   Please spread the word about this 
remarkable opportunity.

Bryant Drake Guest Professorship in Japanese Studies at Kobe College 
(Kobe Jogakuin).   One year appointment for a senior American scholar to 
be in residence and to teach both undergraduates and MA students 
Japanese studies with an American perspective.  PhD with established 
scholarly and teaching credentials.   Transportation and  faculty 
apartment provided.  Review of resumes will begin June 15 with the 
expectation of a fall 2005 appointment for a year at Kobe College 
beginning April, or possibly October, 2006.  Kobe Jogakuin, located in 
suburban Nishinomiya, Hyogo,  is one of the oldest women's colleges in
