Nasu Hiroyuki

[Aaron Gerow]

The papers report that the film director Nasu Hiroyuki died on the 27th 
at the age of 53 of liver cancer. Like many other post-1970 directors, 
Nasu got his start in Roman Poruno, eventually gaining a name in 
regular commercial features especially through the BeBop Highschool 
series. He mostly made such teen action and gangster movies, with his 
final film being Devilman in 2004.
