There were some good moments - I loved the dream sequence - but I didn't
like it much at all.  The lip thing is just plain irritating, whatever the
justification for it is.  It completely dominates the performance and drowns
out ANYTHING else Sokurov may have been trying to do ... there's just always
these lips stretched out and trembling.  It makes me shudder just thinking
about it.  Somehow I don't think the Japanese will be big on Hirohito being
portrayed as a completely passive, generally helpless mouth-breather.
