Cops in Tokyo

When I first moved to Japan in 2002, a few months prior to the World Cup I
had a knock on my door from my friendly neighbour cop in Machida who wanted
to know  if I was planning to have any visitors from England  (ie
"hooligans") staying during that June/July. He seemed to be going through a
checklist of all the gaijin in the area. I thought the incident was more
funny than anything else.
